STORY: One of Peru’s best coffee-producing areas, Cajamarca, is located immediately south of Ecuador in an inter-Andean valley bordering the Amazon rainforest, and produced by small-holding farmers and co-ops from trees of traditional varieties of Arabica. High-grown at 1600-1800 meters, San Ignacio Cajamarca produces one of the best Peruvian coffees: subtly exceptional, light and uplifting with a vanilla-nutty sweetness that deserves appreciation as its own distinctive specialty origin. This San Ignacio is a full, smooth-bodied coffee with low acidity, and produces a sweet, mild aftertaste.
